KEVIN COSTA | LEAD VOCALS

about kevin...

Kevin grew up a shy boy on March 11 1985. He only started to make friends in grade four earning popularity by being “the funny guy” among his classmates. In grade 7 he decided to attend the tryouts for his school hockey team "The Duffield Devils". There he met Dante Berardi. They instantly became friends after discovering their common interest in music.

Kevin realized his passion for vocals when he listened to Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain for the first time. These bands set precedent for Kevin’s career in the music industry. Although these vocalists influenced him, he was determined to come up with his own style of singing. To invent his style, he would carefully analyze vocals and vocalists from all genres of music. Kevin would practice his technique in the shower where he would invent melodies and rhymes. He quickly discovered that even though he had no formal training, he had a gift. His admiration for his brother, who was the front man of his own band, gave him the drive and determination to be bigger than life. Kevin refused to have his passion for music and singing go undiscovered.
