JAN-MICHAEL ROSSI | BASS

about jan...

To Jan, music is like an alternate reality. It is a place where he can be free to express himself and be alone with his deepest thoughts. Music makes him feel protected and it allows him to fight back. Jan has faith that those five lines and a clef will never abandon him.

Born November 6, 1985, Jan loved music from the start. He attended school at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts where he was constantly surrounded by art. He primarily focused on music. There, he majored in strings and played the double bass in the junior, intermediate, senior, and chamber strings ensembles. At the peak of his tenure he solidified a position in the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and studied under the Great Michael Longenecker (Principal Bassist for the Toronto Symphony). Even though he had played with many talented musicians, he never met anyone before who could collaborate musically with him like Dante and Adam.

Now surrounded by a group of talented guys, Jan feels that through his band’s music he can continue to express himself.
